1. Overview

ImagePress – Local & Private (the "App") is an on-device image compression, resizing and format conversion tool. The App does not provide user accounts and does not integrate advertising, analytics or crash reporting services.

2. Personal Information We Collect

The App does not collect personally identifiable information, including:

• Name, email address, phone number or address;
• Account credentials, contacts or calendar data;
• Advertising identifiers or device identifiers;
• Precise location data;
• Analytics or behavioral data;
• Crash logs or diagnostic logs.

The App has no server-side account system, and we cannot remotely access your local data.

3. How Images and Photo Library Data Are Processed

When you select images for compression, conversion or saving:

• Original images and compressed results are processed locally on your device;
• The App reads only photos you explicitly select or authorize for processing;
• Compressed results are saved, replaced, shared or stored locally only according to your actions;
• If you choose actions such as replacing or deleting originals, the App performs those changes only after system authorization;
• The App does not back up, upload, forward or sell your images.

Some workflows may create temporary files or compressed output files in the system temporary directory or the App's document directory. These files are used for local processing, preview, saving and sharing, and do not leave your device.

4. Data Stored Locally

To provide core functionality, the App stores the following data locally on your device:

• App settings: default quality, maximum pixel size, metadata preservation, GPS / EXIF removal, PNG compression mode, etc.;
• Compression history summary: processing time, mode, image count, original size, compressed size and saved size;
• Custom templates: template name, compression parameters and creation time;
• Compressed output files: generated only when required by saving, sharing or preview workflows.

This data is stored in iOS UserDefaults, the App sandbox document directory or temporary directory. Uninstalling the App generally removes sandboxed App data. We cannot remotely access this data.

5. Metadata Handling

The App provides options to remove GPS, EXIF and certain PNG metadata. Whether metadata is removed depends on your settings and selected compression mode.

Please note:

• Removing metadata can reduce the risk of exposing shooting location, camera model and other information when sharing images;
• Metadata support differs by image format, and some system processing paths may not guarantee removal of every non-image field;
• Lossless PNG optimization may remove only safe auxiliary chunks and does not guarantee significant size reduction.

6. Permissions

6.1 Photo Library Read Access

Used to read photos you select for compression, preview, format conversion, similar-image detection or photo library space saving features.

6.2 Photo Library Write Access

Used to save compressed results to Photos, or to replace or delete originals when you explicitly choose such actions.

You may manage or revoke photo permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos. Features that depend on photo library access may stop working after permission is revoked.

6.3 Network and Cellular Data

The App's image processing features do not require a network connection. iOS may display system prompts related to cellular data. Such prompts do not mean the App uploads images or collects data.

7. Third-Party Components

The App may include the following local image processing components or system frameworks:

• Apple ImageIO / CoreGraphics / PhotoKit: local image reading, encoding, saving and Photos operations;
• OxiPNG (MIT License): local lossless PNG optimization;
• Leptonica (Leptonica License): local PNG color quantization related processing.

These components run on-device and do not communicate with external servers. Open-source license details are governed by the notices included with the App or project.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for general image processing use. It does not knowingly collect personal information from any user, including children. If a guardian wishes to remove local data created while using the App, they may delete in-app history or uninstall the App.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Because the App does not upload data to our or third-party servers, we do not retain your data remotely.

You can delete local data by:

• Clearing compression history or templates in the App;
• Deleting compressed files generated by the App;
• Deleting saved compressed results from Photos;
• Uninstalling the App to remove sandboxed App data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy due to feature changes, legal requirements or platform requirements. Material changes may be communicated through release notes, in-app notices or updates to the public policy page.
